By Presidential Decree of 21 of 2016 dated on 2 March 2016 on Visa Free, replacing Presidential Regulation Number 104/2015 on Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 69/2015 on Visa Free, Indonesia now provides special Short Stay Visa Free facilities for tourists who are nationals of a total 169 countries who wish to travel to Indonesia. Tourist Visa Free Facilities are valid for 30 days, are non-extendable and cannot be transferred into any other type of stay permit.
The visa exemption facility can be used for tourism, family visit, social visit, art and culture, government duty, to deliver a speech or attend a seminar, international exhibition,meetings with head office or representative office in Indonesia, or transit. Visa C11 is a subtype of the Indonesian Business e-Visa (e-Visa C) for foreign nationals who intend to enter Indonesia to participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, or other MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events. The visa permits activities such as presenting products, delivering speeches, providing consulting services, or attending as a delegate.

To avoid any hassle at the airport, The Indonesian Government allows foreigners from 86 countries to apply for an e-VOA as a single entry visa that is valid for 30 days stay in Indonesia with the purpose of Tourism, Government Visit, Business Meeting, Goods Purchasing, or Transit only.
The e-VOA validity period is different from the stay period. The validity period for e-VOA is 90 days. If foreigners holding e-VOA come to Indonesia after the 90 days period, they must apply for a new e-VOA, visa on arrival at the airport, or other types of visas.
Foreigners holding e-VOA are allowed to land at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Jakarta and Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. e-VOA fee is US $35 with an additional fee for every payment via Debit/Credit Card according to the financial institution’s regulation.
